Rev. Alan Kinney, pastor
Pastor Alan was appointed to Eastern Parkway on July 1, 2011. He came to us from Greece UMC, located outside of Rochester, NY. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Trenton State College and a Master of Divinity from Drew University School of Theology. He lives in Niskayuna with his wife, Rev. Deborah O'Connor-Slater who is currently appointed to First UMC in Delmar, NY. Alan enjoys skiing, golfing and other outdoor activities. He is also certified to instruct skiing to those who are developmentally delayed or blind.
Barbara J. Paul, administrative assistant
Barbara J. Spawn-Paul is our Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of Siena College, magna cum laude, with a BA in History (member of Phi Alpha Theta history honor society). She came to Eastern Parkway in 2002. She is an active member of the Rotterdam UMC, and is a Certified Lay Speaker. Barbara is a lifelong area resident, having grown up and currently residing in Rotterdam. She is a mother of 4; Cierra, twins, Celine and Civanna, and Timothy.
Br. Paul-Allan Carey, organist/choir director
We are very happy to have Paul-Allan Carey working with us. Paul-Allan is an organ builder (Carey Organ Company of Troy) and talented organist, and brings to us years of experience and a great love for the church.
